SIOUX FALLS, SD – With 16 league games remaining on the season in 2020, the Wayne State College women’s and men’s basketball teams will close out their pre-Christmas schedule this weekend.
WSC will compete against Augustana University for the second time in a month after hosting Augie on November 30. From the Sandford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Augie will entertain Wayne State College on Saturday, December 21 at 3:30/5:30 p.m.

Both teams are coming off non-conference outings Wednesday. The Wayne State women (8-3/3-2 NSIC) won their 47th straight home non-conference game when they defeated Mount Marty College (84-73) while the Wildcat men (5-9/2-3 NSIC) suffered a 77-64 loss at Nebraska-Kearney.
For Augustana, the women are 6-3 overall (2-3 NSIC) recently splitting a road weekend by winning at Minnesota Crookston (63-54) and falling at Bemidji State (74-57). WSC defeated Augie, 80-76 earlier this season.
The Viking men (9-2/4-1 NSIC) suffered their first conference loss this past weekend falling to Bemidji State (75-73) after defeating Crookston (101-68) the night before. Augie defeated Wayne State, 75-66 during the first meeting.
