WAYNE – Sunday afternoon soccer took over the WSC Soccer Complex which marked the fourth straight home match for Wayne State College.

The ‘Cats hosted Concordia-St. Paul where the visiting Golden Bears scored just before the 7:00 mark (6:59) and held onto the victory.

Sunday afternoon’s first half goal was all Concordia-St. Paul needed to improve to 2-2-1 (1-0-1 NSIC) while the ‘Cats fell to 0-4-1 (0-2 NSIC).

CSP outshot the ‘Cats, 9-8 (5-3 on goal) and recorded nine corner kicks compared to three from WSC.

Madison Kemp placed one of here three total shots on goal; Megan Phillips put one shot of two on goal and Jaiden Thompson put her lone shot on goal. Other shots came from Morgan Rhodes and Molly Michaelson.

Katherine Hageman recorded four saves and allowed one goal in 90 minutes of work.

Wayne State College will close out their early season home stretch of six consecutive home matches this weekend. WSC will host Northern State at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 24 and welcome in MSU Moorhead on Sunday, September 25 at 1 p.m. from the WSC Soccer Complex.
