Wildcat Women’s Rugby Secures Fourth Consecutive NSCRO 15s Title, 11th Championship Trophy

MARIETTA, GA – Another National Small College Rugby Organization championship trophy is coming back to the Midwest as the Wayne State College women defended their 15s title.

From Life University in Marietta, Georgia, the Wayne State College women’s club rugby program won a pair of 15-on-15 matches Saturday and Sunday to earn their 11th NSCRO title. Wayne State won their fourth straight 15s crown, sixth overall and have won five 7-on-7 championship matches.

WSC started their title defense with a 57-14 win over MSU Moorhead (Minnesota) Saturday before taking care of business against the Endicott club women’s rugby team (Mass) (90-12) on Sunday. The ‘Cats held a 45-0 lead at half Sunday.

Other scores saw Endicott defeat Lee University (31-10) Saturday before MSU Moorhead was crowned third place champs with a 62-7 win over Lee University (TN) Sunday.
