CHESWICK, PA – The 16 teams who qualified for this weekend’s National Small College Rugby Organization Women’s 7s Tournament are set.
On Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28, 16 teams from 10 states will compete on Founders Field in Cheswick, PA to becoming champions.
Wayne State College is back to defend their 7s title after defeating Lee University (Tennessee) 24-5 last Spring.
Joining the Wildcat women in Pool A will be University of Findlay (OH) and Colgate University (NY) along with Swarthmore College who will be making their first trip to the 7s National Championship.
Saturday games for WSC will feature matches with Swarthmore at 10 a.m.; vs. Colgate at 11:40 a.m. and Findley at 1:20 p.m. Teams will then be re-seeded based on pool play to close out the day. The consolation round is scheduled for 11:40 a.m. followed by the Women’s 7s Championship match at noon Sunday.
