Wildcat Volleyball Sweeps Top 10 Opponent On The Road

ST. PAUL, MN – A pair of NSIC teams were in action during a non-conference scheduled match Tuesday evening.

From the Gangelhoff Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, #13 Wayne State College visited #6 Concordia-St. Paul.

Three close sets favored the ‘Cats winning (25-22, 25-19, 25-23) over the Golden Bears. Wayne State is now 23-5 overall while CSP fell to 20-7 on the season as both teams remain 13-5 (WSC) and 14-4 (CSP) in league play.

Kelsie Cada posted a double-double with 11 kills and 16 digs while Tarrin Beller added 10 kills and two blocks. Jaci Brahmer tallied seven kills and six blocks as Rachel Walker also recorded a double-double with 34 set assists and 11 digs. Other dig leaders came from Haley Kauth with 12 and Maddie Duffy with 11. Alyssa Ballenger came away with seven kills and Maddie Knobbe had four blocks.

WSC outhit Concordia-St. Paul, .219 to .144 while winning the block battle (9-6) as CSP had three service aces over Wayne State’s two.

#13 Wayne State College will close out their regular season hosting MSU Moorhead on Friday, November 15 at 6 p.m. and #7 Northern State at 4 p.m. Saturday.
