Wildcat Volleyball Stays Perfect At Home

WAYNE – The Wayne State College volleyball team hosted their third match of the week when another North Dakota NSIC school came to town Saturday afternoon.

From Rice Auditorium, #17 WSC entertained University of Mary.

The Wildcats were all over Umary (25-13, 25-21, 25-11) to improve to 12-1 and 3-1 in league play.

Alyssa Ballenger paced WSC at the net with 11 kills followed by Kelsie Cada with nine kills. Maddie Knobbe finished with six kills as Tarrin Beller added five kills. Haley Kauth recorded a team-high 13 digs and three service aces while Rachel Walker had 29 set assists and nine digs.

The Wayne State College volleyball team will next host Minnesota State-Mankato on Friday, October 4 at 6 p.m. and a top-10 Concordia-St. Paul team at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 5.
