Wildcat Spring Football Scrimmage To Feature Multiple Competitions Friday Night

WAYNE – As spring practices come to an end this week on the Wayne State campus for football, all are invited to watch their final scrimmage.

From Bob Cunningham Field on the campus of Wayne State College, the ‘Cats will conclude their 2019 spring drills on Friday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m.

The evening will feature several competitions that include 7-on-7, 1-vs-1 – offensive line/defensive line along with a special teams competition and competition drills to go with several scrimmages.

WSC ended last year 3-8 (2-5 South Division). Wayne State had a five-game losing streak snapped thanks to a 34-0 road win at Minot State on October 20. The ‘Cats finished the season 2-2.

The Wildcat football team will begin their 2019 campaign with a 1 p.m. road game at Winona State University on Saturday, September 7. WSC will play their first home game the following Saturday, September 14 entertaining Southwest Minnesota State at 6 p.m.
