WAYNE – In a few short weeks youth are invited to participate in the Wayne State College softball winter camp.
According to a release from the Wildcat Softball ‘Camps’ page, the 2020 hitting and general skills clinics are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, February 1-2. Location of the camp will be held at Wayne State’s recreation center with check-in each day at 8:30 a.m. as both clinics will last from 9 a.m. until noon.
The Saturday, February 1 clinic will be offered for ages 8-13 and those 14-18 on Saturday, February 2.
This clinic will emphasize the basic skills needed for hitting and defense. It is designed for novice to advanced athletes. One of the many great qualities of this camp is the one-on-one instruction you will receive from the Wildcat staff as instructors for the camp will be the WSC coaches and players.
Cost for the Saturday camp (ages 8-13) is $50 while the Sunday camp (14-18 ages) is $75 which includes a camp t-shirt.
All athletics are requested to bring tennis shoes, a glove, bat, batting gloves, batting helmet and a water bottle. Also, catchers will need to provide their own equipment.
