Wildcat Softball Drops Six Games During Washburn Tournament

TOPEKA, KS – With a few days of warm February weather the weekend prior on the home diamond, the Wayne State College softball team took back to the road for a three-day tournament.

From Topeka, Kansas, the Wildcats played six games over the past three days.

WSC began the weekend on Saturday with losses to Emporia State, 15-2 (five innings) and the host Washburn, 13-1 (five innings); dropped games to Pittsburg State (6-0) and Central Missouri, 10-2 (six innings) on Sunday before closing out the tournament with losses of 4-3 to Nebraska-Kearney and 8-6 to Fort Hays State on Monday.

The Wayne State College softball team is 2-11 on the season and will be off until spring break games from Sunday, March 6 – Friday, March 11 in Florida.
