WAYNE – During the entire month of October NSIC South and North teams will be squaring off in cross divisional play.
After starting their South Division schedule 1-3, the Wayne State College football team will welcome in the 0-4 Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles on Saturday, October 5. The 1 p.m. kickoff will also mark the homecoming/hall of fame game celebration.
Last week, Concordia-St. Paul outscored the ‘Cats 18-7 in the second half to win 28-21 while the Golden Eagles suffered a 24-16 setback during their homecoming game last week as well.
WSC leads the all-time series against UMC 12-2 and has won the last eight meetings between the two schools, including a 33-14 win in Crookston two years ago.
