WAYNE – After a volleyball scrimmage was held last week, more fall sports on the Wayne State campus will be in action this week.
From Bob Cunningham Field on the campus of Wayne State College, the Wildcat football team and women’s soccer program will take to the turf on Thursday, October 22.
The football scrimmage will start at 6 p.m. followed by women’s soccer game around 8 p.m.
Thursday’s event is free and open to all Wildcat fans as a tailgate sponsored by Pac N Save will start at 5 p.m. and is $5.00 (unless you are a Cat Club member at the Black Level or above).
In 2019, the Wayne State College football team finished 4-7 splitting their last four outings. The women’s soccer program qualified for their first NSIC Tournament since 2006. WSC suffered a loss to Concordia-St. Paul ending their 2019 campaign at 6-9-4 overall and 6-7-2 in league play.
Again, masks are required to attend and social distancing measures will be implemented at the event with limited concessions also being available during the WSC football and women’s soccer scrimmages.
