WAYNE – As the month of October will feature cross-division games, the Wayne State College football team will take on their fourth NSIC South Division opponent a month into the season.
From Bob Cunningham Field on the campus of Wayne State College, WSC is set to entertain Concordia-St. Paul at 6 p.m. which also marks the first of back-to-back home games. The ‘Cats will host their homecoming/hall of fame game next Saturday at 1 pm. when Minnesota Crookston comes to town.
The Wildcats (1-2) were shutout in last week’s second half by Augustana and fell 26-13. CSP is coming off a home loss at the hands of #3 Minnesota State-Mankato (29-3) and are 2-1.
Last year, Concordia-St. Paul topped Wayne State 29-7 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The all-time series between the two clubs is tied at 10-10 as CSP snapped a four-game losing streak last season.
