Wildcat Football In Search Of First Road Win During 2019 Season

BISMARCK, ND – For the fourth and final time in October the Wayne State College football team will square off with a cross-division opponent.

Wayne State has gone 1-2 against North Division teams and are 2-5 overall (1-3 South) entering week eight of the NSIC schedule. The Wildcats are coming off a double overtime home loss of 29-26 to Northern State last Saturday.

Their opponent on hand, University of Mary is 1-6 (0-4 North) on the season. The Marauders suffered a 74-17 road loss at #3 Minnesota State-Mankato while winning over Upper Iowa 27-21 last time at home on a Sunday afternoon.

The last time WSC took on Umary was in 2017 when the ‘Cats won 48-10 in Wayne and in 2015 Wayne State won 24-10 in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Upper Iowa at #23 Minnesota Duluth at 1 p.m.

St. Cloud State at Winona State at 1 p.m.

#3 Minnesota State-Mankato at Minnesota Crookston at 6 p.m. (game to be played in the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, ND)
