Wildcat Basketball Teams Make Final North Division Trip Of Regular Season

ST. CLOUD/DULUTH, MN – With six games reaming on the regular season schedule, the Wayne State College women’s and men’s basketball teams will play their final regular season cross division games before tournament play later this month.

The Wayne State women are 15-7 (10-6 NSIC/T-2nd South) while the Wildcat men have won four straight to sit 10-15 (7-9 NSIC/6th South).

WSC will visit St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth on Friday and Saturday, February 7-8. Join Voice of the Wildcats, Aaron Scheffler on Big Red Country ‘KTCH’ 104.9 and waynedailynews.com. Pregame coverage Friday night will begin at 5 p.m. with Saturday’s doubleheader starting just after 3 p.m. on the Wildcat Sports Network.

In the women’s weekend action, St. Cloud State is 16-4 (13-3 NSIC/2nd North) and Minnesota Duluth is 17-5 (14-2 NSIC/1st North).

Last year, St. Cloud State won 78-67 as the Bulldogs won 79-57 in Wayne.

The SCSU men are 12-10 (9-7 NSIC/fourth North) while UMD enters the weekend 16-6 (11-5 NSIC/second North).

Minnesota Duluth defeated WSC 77-72 in Wayne while the ‘Cats split with St. Cloud State. The Wildcats lost in Wayne 91-79 before defeating the Huskies 77-76 in the NSIC Tournament quarterfinals in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
