CLEBURNE, TX – A spring sport on the Wayne State campus will travel south to open their 2020 baseball season.
The Wayne State College baseball team will play in Texas this weekend, Oklahoma next weekend and Missouri in a couple weeks before heading to Florida in March for their spring break trip.
The Wildcat baseball team is coming off at 32-18 (23-12 NSIC) season after dropping back-to-back games in the NSIC Tourney last year.
WSC will first open with Newman University in Cleburne, Texas on Friday, January 31 at 12:30 p.m. The ‘Cats will then face Southern Arkansas at 4:30 p.m. followed by Oklahoma Panhandle State at 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 1 in pool play. Wayne State will close out their season-opening weekend trip with a game on Sunday, February 2 against an opponent TBD.
Other February outings for the Wayne State College baseball team will include doubleheaders at Rogers State (Claremore, OK) on Saturday and Sunday, February 8-9 as well as Southwest Baptist (Bolivar, MO) on Saturday and Sunday, February 15-16.
