Wiese Brothers Lead Wayne Blue Broncos Past Pender White

WAYNE – Youth baseball took over part of the Summer Sports Complex Monday night.

The Wayne blue didgets and broncos entertained Pender white.

 

In the didgets game, no results were posted.

 

From the broncos contest, Wayne scored four runs in the first before outscoring Pender 2-1 in the third to lead 6-1. In the fourth, Wayne added two more runs while brining one more run across in the fifth to win 9-1. The Wayne blue broncos improved to 7-2 on the season.

Carter Wiese singled twice and drove in three runs while Kaden Keller singled, doubled and drove in a run for Wayne. Jase Dean and Alex Frank both singled and drove in a run; Jace Jorgensen singled as Gavin Redden accounted for a RBI.

Caden Wiese picked up the win in four innings allowing one run off two hits while striking out eight batters and walking two. Gavin Redden worked an inning allowing one hit while striking out three batters as Brodrick Tiedtke pitched an inning striking out one batter.

The Wayne blue didgets will close out their regular season on Thursday, June 27 hosting Stanton at 6 p.m. while the broncos will also host Stanton Thursday at 7:45 p.m. and end their regular season on Monday, July 1 at 7 p.m. entertaining Pierce.
