WHS Girls Golf Finishes Second In Road Triangular, Haschke Earns Runner-Up Medal

NELIGH – A trio of girls golf teams took to the links for a Tuesday late afternoon nine-hole outing.

From the Antelope Country Club in Neligh, Wayne High joined Elkhorn Valley and Battle Creek for a road triangular.

Battle Creek shot a team score of 200, followed by Wayne High in second with a 239 as Elkhorn Valley rounded out the three teams with a 268.

Wayne’s Riley Haschke earned second place individual honors with her 48.

Other Wayne results came from Joslyn Johnson (53), Jamie Janke (66) and Lindsay Niemann (72).

The Wayne High girls golf team will next participate in the Stanton Invite on Thursday, September 2 starting at 9 a.m. from the Elkhorn Acres Golf Course.
