WAYNE – Majority of the junior varsity and a handful of the varsity members of the Wayne High boys golf team competed in a home triangular.
From the Wayne Country Club, the Blue Devils welcomed in Oakland-Craig varsity and JV as well as two Wisner-Pilger JV teams for a nine-hole outing.
Oakland-Craig varsity won the triangular with a 200, Wayne JV followed in second with a 224 and Wisner-Pilger JV finished third with a 239. Wisner-Pilger JV 2 shot a 269.
Camron Weaselhead led the Wayne High golf team with a 48 which tied with Carson Thomsen of Oakland-Craig for second place.
The top individual golfer was Owen Craig of Oakland-Craig with a 41.
Other Blue Devil results came from Kyran Bartos (51), Caden Wiese (56), Dillon Hanau (69) and Landen Roeber (72).
The Wayne High boys golf team will return to action on Thursday, April 14. Half the team will compete in the Boone Central Invite (varsity) from the Albion Country Club while another portion of the team will participate in the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Invite (junior varsity) from Cedarview Country Club.
