WHS Boys Golf Competes In Oakland-Craig Triangular

OAKLAND – After winning the West Point-Beemer invitational last Monday, the Wayne High boys golf team competed in a road triangular Tuesday.

From the Oakland Golf Club in Oakland, WHS sent their varsity team along with three JV members joining junior varsity golfers from Wisner-Pilger and the host Oakland-Craig.

Bo Armstrong and Andrew Jones tied for medalist honors with a score of 40. Tanner Walling added a 43, Drew Sharpe tallied a 45 and Christopher Woerdemann scored a 60 to round out the Varsity squad.

The Blue Devil varsity team shot a 168, Oakland-Craig JV1 finished with a 236 and Wisner-Pilger JV1 shot a 264.

Tanner Sievers led the Wayne JV team with a 69, followed by Juan Hernandez (70) and Brogan Foote (75).

The Wayne High boys golf team will next take the course on Thursday, April 15 during the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Invite starting at 10 a.m.
