WEST POINT – A 16-player East Team and 18-player West Team made up the 2022 Tri County League Pony All-Star game in mid-July.
From Timmerman Field in West Point, two players from each of the 17-team Pony Division were selected to compete in Thursday’s seven-inning All-Star game.
Team West All-Stars, led by Wayne Blue head coach Mike Sturm and staff picked up a 10-7 victory over the East All-Stars led by Jason Smith and Andy Guenther from West Point Patriots.
Wayne representatives for the West All-Stars were Brodey Munter and Jaxon Chase from Wayne Blue and Gavin Anderson and Mason Heikes from Wayne White.
Heikes went 1-for-2 at the plate with a double and also pitched one scoreless inning in the seventh; Gavin Anderson went 2-for-2 with a single, double and RBI while also pitching one inning; Munter went 1-for-2 with a single while Chase went 0-for-2.
