LINCOLN – Throughout the day Friday NSAA officials have been bumping back Class C1-D2 boys sub-state games into Monday, February 25.
The Wayne High boys fresh off the Class C1-7 comeback over Norfolk Catholic have earned a rematch with #2 Wahoo. On December 9, Wahoo held off the Blue Devils in Wayne (72-64).
Monday’s C1-2 Sub-State Championship game will be played at West Point-Beemer with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. Join Sports Director, Aaron Scheffler on The City ‘KCTY’ 98.9/1590 and online at waynedailynews.com with pregame cover set for 6:45 p.m.
Another game that has been moved and will be carried by Big Red Country ‘KTCH’ 104.9 and online at waynedailynews.com will be the Class C2-6 Sub-State game between #6 Wakefield and #11 South Loup (Callaway/Arnold). Join Brady Bristol for pregame show coverage at 5:45 p.m. as the game will be played at West Holt HS with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday.
Also, in C2: #8 Laurel-Concord-Coleridge and #9 Ponca will play for the fourth time this season. That game has been moved to Monday, February 26 for a 7 p.m. start time from South Sioux City High School. Updates will be announced from that game as KTCH would follow the winner to state.
