Wayne White Ponies, Blue Ponies Both Win Big

WAYNE/SCHUYLER – Mid-week Wayne youth baseball took over two locations for Tri County League play.

From the Summer Sports Complex in Wayne, the Wayne White Ponies welcomed in Logan View while Wayne Blue visited Schuyler on Wednesday.

Wayne White (5-2) shutout Logan View, 10-0 as the Wayne Blue Ponies (7-0) secured a 19-2 victory over Schuyler.

In the win for Wayne White, Gavin Anderson singled three times, drove in a run and scored twice; Drew Reinhardt singled twice and scored while Blade Nelson doubled, drove in a run and scored.

Mason Heikes singled, drove in a run and scored; Sam Etter singled and scored; Jenner Dorey singled; Mason Karsky accounted for a RBI as Parker Patefield, Austin Heiser, Carter Wiese and Zander Liston all scored.

Heiser (67 pitches) tossed the no-hitter complete game victory in five innings striking out six batters and walking two.

During the victory for Wayne Blue, James Birkel singled three times, drove in three runs and scored twice; Brodey Munter singled twice, drove in two runs and scored three times while Chase Nelson singled, doubled, drove in three runs and scored twice.

Jaxon Chase singled twice, drove in a run and scored twice; Jaxson Kneifl singled, drove in two runs and scored twice; Chase Sturm singled, drove in three runs and scored twice; Adrian Contreras singled, drove in a run and scored; Brodrick Tiedtke singled, drove in two runs and scored; Dreu Jensen and Alejandro Archundia both accounted for a RBI and run scored as Herwin Bernal scored twice.

Tiedtke (25 pitches) picked up the win in two innings allowing one run while striking out five batters. Bernal (15) worked an inning striking out two batters and walking one as Jensen (19) pitched an inning allowing one run off one hit while striking out one batter.

The Wayne White Ponies will next host Howells-Dodge on Sunday, June 19 at 7 p.m. while the Wane Blue Ponies will have a rescheduled home game on Friday, June 17 with Logan View at 7 p.m. before also hosting Tekamah-Herman on Sunday at 7 p.m.
