Wayne White Didgets, Broncos Host West Point Twins

WAYNE – A pair of Wayne youth baseball teams welcomed in the West Point Twins during a mid-week doubleheader.

From the Summer Sports Complex, the White Didgets suffered a 9-2 defeat falling to 2-4 to the West Point Twins while the Wayne White Broncos won 18-3 to now sit 9-5 on the season.

In the Didgets game, Easton Endicott sigled and doubled for Wayne.

 

From the Broncos game, Wayne outscored West Point 3-2 in the first and 4-1 in the second to lead 7-3. The Wayne White Broncos then poured in six runs during the third and five more in the fourth inning to win 18-3.

Gavin Anderson recorded a single, double, triple, five RBI and run scored while Will Leseberg singled four times, drove in three runs and scored three times for Wayne. Austin Heiser singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored three times; Parker Patefield singled, drove in two runs and scored twice; Lance Stange singled, drove in a run and scored; Alex Rodriguez singled and drove in two runs; Brodrick Tiedtke singled and scored; Sam Etter scored three times; Zander Liston scored twice as Carter Wiese and Joe Leatherdale both scored once.

Tiedtke picked up the complete game win in four innings allowing three runs off one hit while striking out eight batters and walking one.

The Wayne White Didgets will make up their rain-out game from earlier this week on Sunday, July 12 against Pender at 4 p.m. while the Wayne White Broncos will be off until Monday, July 13 when they join their Didgets team at Dodge-Howells at 6/7:30 p.m.
