Wayne White Broncos Move Into Championship Game

WEST POINT –  A couple days after the Wayne bronco teams met in a quarterfinal round, the Wayne white team now advances into championship Monday.

From West Point, a pair of semi-final contests were held.

#6 Wayne white took on #7 Columbus Lakeview. Wayne used a four-run second and a three-run third to jump ahead 7-0. Columbus Lakeview put two runs on the board in the fourth but Wayne added another run in the home half of the fourth. Final saw the Wayne white broncos win 8-2 and improve to 11-3.

Kaleb Moormeier doubled, tripled and drove in a run while Drew Reinhardt singled twice and drove in two runs for Wayne. Zander Liston singled and drove in two runs; Alex Rodriguez singled and drove in a run; Gavin Anderson singled as Jamison Meyer accounted for a RBI.

Moormeier picked up the complete game win in six innings allowing two runs off seven hits while striking out 12 batters and walking one.

On the other half of the bracket #1 Oakland-Craig white topped #5 Pender white (12-9). Wayne white will now face Oakland-Craig white at 8 p.m. on Monday, July 15 in West Point for the bronco championship game.

Lakeview and Pender white will meet up in the bronco consolation round at 6 p.m. on Monday.
