Wayne White Broncos Drop Two-Run Decision At Schuyler During Gold Tournament Second Round

SCHUYLER – Tri County League Bronco Gold Tournament bracket games continued with mid-week competition.

From Schuyler, #10 Wayne White visited #2 Schuyler on Wednesday for a spot in the semifinal round.

Wayne White ended their season at 8-5 following a 4-2 loss at Schuyler.

Aiden Petersen singled three times and drove in two runs while Will Patefield singled and scored. Blake Smith also scored.

Two pitchers combined for the loss being Smith (73) in four innings allowing three earned runs off six hits while striking out nine batters as Petersen (15) worked an inning allowing an earned run off one hit.

Semifinal final Tri County League Bronco Gold Division games will be on Friday, July 8 in West Point. The consolation and final games will also be played in West Point on Sunday, July 10.

#3 Pender shutout #11 West Point Cardinals, 2-0 and will next face Schuyler on Friday while the other half of the bracket favored #1 Logan View Blue over #8 Tekamah-Herman Purple, 8-3 and #5 Howells-Dodge topped #4 West Point A, 10-4. Logan View Blue will meet Howells-Dodge in the other Bronco Gold Tourney semifinal.


Tri County League Pony consolation and championship games will be played this evening in Pierce.
