Wayne Volleyball Opens Two-Match Home Week With Sweep

WAYNE – Parent’s night took over the Wayne Jr/Sr High School gymnasium with back-to-back home games on the Blue Devil volleyball schedule this week.

To open the week, WHS welcomed in Guardian Angels Central Catholic Tuesday night.

Wayne swept GACC with the same score each set of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-19. The Blue Devils are now 7-3 on the season and have won three straight while the Bluejays fell to 5-5.

Lauren Pick recorded a double-double with 26 kills and 14 digs while Kiara Krusemark finished with 24 set assists and four kills as Rubie Klausen had 17 digs and four kills for Wayne. Mady Sievers tallied three kills and Emily Longe posted a kill. Sydney Redden paced the team in digs with 23 and had two service aces. Reagan Backer also had double figure digs with 10.

The C team won 25-16, 25-13

The JV team lost in 3:  14-25, 25-16, 15-17

 

The Wayne High volleyball team will also host Lutheran High Northeast this Thursday, September 17.
