ALBION/LAUREL – Close out the month with high school football on KCTY and KTCH Friday night.
For a second straight week the Wayne High football team will compete against a top 10 Class C1 team aired on The City ‘KCTY’ 98.9/1590 while this week’s northeast Nebraska area game of the week will feature Wakefield at top 10 Laurel-Concord-Coleridge on Big Red Country ‘KTCH’ 104.9.
Both games will be carried online at waynedailynews.com with pregame show coverage set for 6:40 p.m.
Wayne High is 1-4 on the season following a 58-6 home loss to #2 Piece last Friday. Boone Central improved to 4-1 after picking up a 42-0 shutout road win at West Point-Beemer on September 23. The Cardinals are rated #3 in the Omaha World Herald and #6 in the Lincoln Journal Star.
Last year, Boone Central won 35-13 during the regular season at 42-35 in the first round of the Class C1 playoffs.

It’s homecoming week in Laurel as the LCC Bears are 5-0 recently winning 22-0 over Crofton in Laurel last week. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge is rated #6 in the Omaha World Herald and #8 in the Lincoln Journal Star.
Wakefield is 3-2 following a 36-32 home loss to Hartington-Newcastle on September 23.
Last year, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge won 64-46 over Wakefield.
