Wayne State Women Travel West For Colorado Mesa Tournament

GRAND JUNCTION, CO – For the second straight week, the Wayne State College women’s basketball team will find themselves in the mountain time zone.

From Grand Junction, Colorado, the Wildcat women will compete in the Colorado Mesa Tournament on Friday and Saturday, November 25 – 26.

WSC is 2-1 on the season and 0-1 in NSIC play following a 93-74 road loss at Augustana University on November 22. WSC also picked up an 84-71 road victory at Chadron State College on November 16.

The Wayne State College women will open the Thanksgiving weekend tourney with Fort Lewis College at 2 p.m. CT on Friday. Fort Lewis is 3-1 and last won 73-72 on November 19 over Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (AZ).

WSC will also face the host Colorado Mesa at 6 CT p.m. on Saturday, November 26. Colorado Mesa is 0-4 and will also face Fort Lewis on Sunday, November 27 at 5 MT.

NSIC play will resume for Wayne State College on Thursday, December 1 at Sioux Falls at 5:30/7:30 p.m. with the Wildcat women and men hosting Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday, December 3 at 3:30/5:30 p.m. from Rice Auditorium.
