WAYNE – After competing on the road the past two weeks, the Wayne State College women are looking forward to a pair of NSIC South Division home games in late January.
While the Wayne State men take to the road at Winona, Minnesota, the Wildcat women are scheduled to host Winona State University on Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30.
The men’s games will tipoff at 6 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday with the women’s games being played at Rice Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Wayne State College women will host six of their final eight regular season conference games. WSC is 4-4 and 3-3 in the NSIC South Division following two road wins last weekend at Upper Iowa (84-79 and 78-70) while Winona State is 0-4 and 0-3 in divisional play following an 81-79 home loss to Augustana last Friday while Saturday’s game was cancelled due to COVID-19 protocols.
Last season, Winona State won both matchups against WSC, 76-73 in Wayne and 83-75 in Winona.

For the Wayne State College men’s, they’ll be on the road for three of the final four weekends and compete at McCown Gymnasium in Winona this weekend.
WSC is 4-4 overall and 4-2 in the NSIC South Division following a home split last weekend vs. Upper Iowa (W 99-71, L 82-74) while Winona State is 3-2 and 1-1 in the division after a road split at Augustana (W 87-82, L 73-63) last weekend.
Last season, Wayne State won both meetings against Winona State 70-63 in Wayne (12/7/19) and 102-97 in triple overtime at Winona (1/10/20).
