WAYNE – After the men have competed on the road the past two weekends and women recently opened their season both will play at home against non-conference opponents.
The Wayne State women are 1-1 after winning over Northwest Missouri State 61-57 but falling to Nebraska-Kearney 83-79 during the UNK Crossover Tourney last weekend.
WSC will open their home schedule against Peru State College at 5:30 p.m.
Peru State is 1-2 on the season last falling to Nebraska-Omaha in an exhibition game, 92-58 Monday. Wednesday’s game against WSC will also be an exhibition game for the Bobcats.
For the Wildcat men, they are 0-5 after dropping three matches in California and falling twice to a pair of Great American Conference teams this past weekend. Their opponents they’ve faced have a combined 16-3 record.
Wayne State will play six of their next seven games at home starting with Nebraska Christian College at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Nebraska Christian College is 3-2 after last falling to Central Christian College (KS) 71-60 last Saturday. The game with WSC will be an exhibition game for the Sentinels.
