WARRENSBURG, MO – Three of the Central Region men’s basketball teams will make up a Tipoff Challenge hosted by Central Missouri this weekend.
The Wayne State College men’s basketball team recently came off an exhibition loss to Nebraska last Thursday of 75-40. WSC will now begin their regular season with a trip to Warrensburg, Missouri on Friday, November 9 – Saturday, November 10.
Wayne State College will open with Pittsburg State Friday evening at 5 p.m. before facing the host, Central Missouri Saturday at 8 p.m.
Pitt State has dropped two exhibition games with Oklahoma (92-58) and Kansas State (79-39) last Thursday and Friday. For Central Missouri, this will be their season opener.
Harding will be the other team representing the Great American Conference as both Pitt State/UMC are out of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.
The Wayne State men’s basketball team will then host four straight to close out the month of November. WSC will entertain Waldorf on Tuesday, November 13 at 7 p.m.; Nebraska Christian on Thursday, November 15 at 7 p.m.; Mount Marty on Saturday, November 24 at 6 p.m. and Nebraska-Kearney on Tuesday, November 27 at 7 p.m.
