Wayne State Home Baseball Moved To Thursday Due To Weather

WAYNE – A mid-week NSIC baseball home doubleheader for the Wayne State College baseball team has been pushed back one-day due to weather.

According to a release from Wayne State Athletics, the Wildcats were scheduled to host University of Mary at 1:30/3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The game will now be played on Thursday, March 24 at noon and 2 p.m. from the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex.

Wayne State College is 9-7 overall and 3-0 in league play after opening their NSIC schedule with a trio of home wins over Southwest Minnesota this past weekend.

University of Mary enters with an 8-7 record as this will be their first NSIC outing. The Marauders recently dropped two of three games at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri on March 17 winning 12-6 but dropping back-to-back on March 19 of 5-4 and 12-2.

WSC swept William Jewell in a road doubleheader earlier this season on March 2 winning 10-4 and 14-10.
