Wayne State College Needing Road Win At #25 Sioux Falls To Make Postseason Push

SIOUX FALLS, SD – With postseason collegiate football taking over later this month, a key NSIC South Division showdown and region contest is up next for Wayne State College.

From Bob Young Field in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the Wildcats will visit #25 University of Sioux Falls on Saturday, November 5 at 1 p.m.

WSC, who is receiving votes just outside the top 25, is on a two-game winning streak at 7-2 overall (3-2 South) while the Cougars have dropped back-to-back now at 7-2 (2-2 South).

Wayne State College recently picked up home wins of 20-14 over Southwest Minnesota State on October 22 and 56-14 over Upper Iowa last weekend. The Wildcats were last on the road on October 15, falling on a late touchdown at Augustana (31-27).

The Cougars, who were 7-0 on the season until two weeks ago, have dropped a road game at Winona State (20-17) and suffered their first home loss last weekend against Minnesota State-Mankato (38-24).

Sioux Falls is 9-0 all-time against Wayne State since joining the NSIC in 2012. Last season the Cougars topped the Wildcats in Wayne 38-17.

USF is sitting fifth in the most recent Super Region 4 rankings with Wayne State right behind at sixth. The top seven make the postseason with each team still having one more regular season game next weekend (WSC vs. North Division MSU Moorhead/USF at Upper Iowa).
