WAYNE – Ralph Bishop League Junior American Legion baseball teams took over Hank Overin Field in Wayne.
Second round games were played Monday evening.
#1 Wayne (18-0) defeated #4 Pierce, 4-1 while #2 Battle Creek won 4-3 over #3 Wakefield.
During the victory for the Post 43 Wayne Juniors, Gavin Redden singled twice and scored twice while Aiden Liston singled, drove in two runs and scored. Kaden Keller also scored.
Liston (57) picked up the win in four and two-thirds allowing one hit while striking out three batters and walking two. Wyatt Heikes (47) worked two and a third allowing one run off one hit while striking out five batters and walking one.

South Division second round results from Arlington (no scores posted): #1 Arlington vs. #5 Columbus Lakeview and #2 Pender vs. #3 West Point.
The divisional championship games will be played on Thursday, June 30. In the North Division, Wayne will host Battle Creek at 7 p.m. (Wayne won 5-1 at Battle Creek on May 26) while in the South Division, (coming soon) at 7 p.m.
The 2022 Ralph Bishop League Junior Legion consolation game will be played in West Point on Saturday, July 2 at noon with the championship game set for 5 p.m.
Second round Senior Legion schedule for Tuesday, June 28:
Battle Creek (North Division): #2 South Sioux City vs. #3 Crofton at 5:30 p.m. and #1 Battle Creek vs. #4 Hartington at 8 p.m.
Columbus (South Division): #2 West Point vs. #3 Pender at 5:30 p.m. and #1 Columbus Lakeview vs. #5 Oakland-Craig at 8 p.m.
