Wayne Pickleball Tournament Set For March 20

WAYNE – Make plans to register for the inaugural Pickleball Tournament in March.

According to a release from the Wayne Community Activity Center, a registration deadline is set for Monday, March 15 (correction from what was on Tuesday’s Sportsgram) or until spots are filled. The 2021 Wayne Pickleball Tournament will be held on Saturday, March 20 with pool play beginning at 9 a.m. followed by tournament play.

There’ll be three divisions of open doubles – recreational (2.0-2.5); open doubles – intermediate (3.0-3.5) and men’s doubles – intermediate (3.0-3.5) with a limit of six teams per division. The entry fee cost is $20 per team as all payments must be received prior to the first game.

The four indoor wood courts will be used along with an onix orange indoor ball. The rules will be consistent with the USAPA Pickleball rules.
