WAYNE – Following a postponement due to weather on Saturday for a non-league game, the Wayne Post 43 Juniors and Seniors were back in action during the Ralph Bishop League Monday evening.
From Hank Overin Field, this marked the fourth game in six days for the Wayne Seniors and just the first since last Tuesday for the Juniors as Wisner-Pilger/Dodge-Howells was in town.
After Wisner took a 2-0 in the top of the third, the Wayne Junior bats caught fire scoring seven runs before adding another eight runs in the fourth to win 15-2. Wayne Post 43 remains undefeated at 5-0.

Jacob Kneifl came away as the team leader with three hits, one being a double and four RBI. Brock Hopkins singled, doubled and drove in three runs while Blake Bartos tripled and accounted for three RBI. Gunnar Jorgensen singled twice and drove in a run while Josh Lutt singled and drove in a run. Hagan Miller, Victor Kniesche and Trevor DeBoer all singled as Tyrus Eischeid tacked on a RBI.
Kneifl picked up the win in four innings allowing two runs off of two hits while striking out six batters. Eischeid worked the final inning allowing one hit and striking out two batters.
Moving into the Seniors contest, Wisner-Pilger/Dodge-Howells used a five-run second inning to lead early. Wisner then added a run in the fourth and fifth innings before outscoring Wayne in the sixth, 2-1. Final found Wisner winning 9-1 as Wayne Post 43 fell to 5-2 on the season.

Wayne was held just to three hits all being singles with Zane Jackson leading the way producing a single and RBI. Tyler Lutt and Payten Gamble both singled with Gamble being the only run scored.
Tyler Lutt suffered the loss in four and a third innings allowing seven runs (six earned) off of 11 hits while striking out seven batters. Tucker Nichols worked two-thirds of an inning striking out two batters as Ryan Jaixen pitched an inning allowing two earned runs while striking out one batter and walking four.
Wayne State College signee, Keegan Ruskamp for Wisner tossed the complete game win in six innings allowing an earned run off of three hits while striking out nine batters.
