Wayne Junior High Girls Basketball Results Versus GACC  

WAYNE – After competing on the road the past few weeks during early season games, the Wayne Junior High girls basketball teams hit the halfway point of their season following their first home game.

From the Wayne Elementary school, the Wayne seventh and eighth graders welcomed in Guardian Angels Central Catholic Monday.

The Wayne seventh graders won 25-16, the Wayne C-team won 14-10 while the GACC eighth graders won 54-17 over Wayne.

In the seventh-grade game, Haley Kramer, Elle Powicki and Mackenzie Nissen all scored six points. Reagan McGuire added three points while Addison Sharpe and Claire Lutter both scored two points.

During the C-game, Shayanne Beatty paced the team with six points. Jordyn Gamble added four points while Lily Hurner and Nyla Bolles both scored two points.

From the eighth-grade contest, Kyla Krusemark led Wayne with six points. Haley Kramer added five points, Jala Krusemark finished with four points and Sammi Gubbels scored two points.

The Wayne Junior High girls basketball teams will next host Battle Creek on Thursday, December 10 starting at 6 p.m. and welcome in GACC, Hartington Cedar Catholic and Pierce during a home Invite on Saturday at 9 a.m.
