WAYNE – Both Wayne Community Schools and Wayne State College are currently accepting nominations for their 2018 Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet.
Wayne High School nominations are due by Friday, March 16 while Wayne State College “Athletic Hall of Fame” nominations are due by Sunday, April 1.
To be considered for the Wayne High Hall of Fame, a period of fifteen years must have passed since graduation for an athlete and a period of five years since leaving Wayne High School must have passed before coaches are eligible.
Nomination forms for former athletes/coaches may be obtained at the Wayne Jr/Sr High School office or by visiting the Wayne Schools web page at: http://waynebluedevils.org under high school/student services/athletics/hall of fame forms. Nominations must be submitted to: Dennis Dolliver, Athletic Director, Wayne Jr/Sr High School, 611 W. 7th St., Wayne, NE 68787 or e-mailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
To be considered for the WSC Athletic Hall of Fame, there must be a five-year time lapse for all candidates since participation or involvement in athletics at Wayne State College.
A coach, administrator or athletic staff member must have served WSC for a minimum of five years and nominations of contributors shall be based on the contributions which he/she has made to enhance the athletic programs at Wayne State College.
