Wayne High Edges Cedar Catholic For Second, LCC Wins Home Triangular

LAUREL – A trio of northeast Nebraska girls golf programs took to the Cedar View Country Club Tuesday late afternoon.

From Laurel, the Wayne High girls golf team joined Hartington Cedar Catholic and Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.

The nine-hole outing favored LCC with a team score of 191, followed by Wayne High with a 240 and Hartington Cedar Catholic shot a 245.

Wayne High was led by Riley Haschke with a 52, Joslyn Johnson shot a 59, Lindsay Niemann finished with a 62, Trinity Surber shot a 67 and Jamie Janke added a 69.

Individually, Sarah Karnes of Laurel-Concord-Coleridge shot the nine-hole low score with a 40 followed by teammates Sidney Groene and Hope Swanson each with a 50, Delaney Hall finished with a 51 and Maddy Graham shot a 55.

Hartington Cedar Catholic was led by Maci Schommer with a 53.

 

The Wayne High Invite is scheduled for Friday, August 27 from the Wayne Country Club starting at 9:30 a.m. Participating teams joining the Blue Devils will be Hartington Cedar Catholic, Battle Creek, Crofton, Elkhorn Valley, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, Oakland Craig, Papillion-La Vista, Pender, Pierce, South Sioux City, Stanton, West Point Beemer and Winnebago.
