Wayne High Boys Golf Wins Home Dual, Woerdemann Finishes With A 39

WAYNE – With another road invitational scheduled for this week, the Wayne High boys golf team hosted a northeast Nebraska opponent Tuesday afternoon.

From the Wayne Country Club, WHS welcomed in Tri County Northeast (Allen/Emerson-Hubbard) for a nine-hole dual.

Wayne High’s varsity team won 159-194 while the Blue Devil JV team edged the Wolfpack 220-228.

Wayne High’s Christopher Woerdemann and Garrett Blanke of Tri County Northeast tied for first each shooting a 39.

Other Wayne results came from Tanner Walling, Andrew Jones and Drew Sharpe all with a 40 while Bo Armstrong finished with a 43. Wayne JV results saw Brogan Foote shoot a 49, followed by Kyran Bartos with a 52, Chance Schultz with a 58, Tanner Sievers with a 61 and Juan Hernandez with a 71. Wayne JV2 results saw Tristan Clausen shoot a 63 and Coby Dickes finish with a 69.

Other Tri County Northeast varsity results came from Nate Oswald with a 45, Ryan Anderson shot a 50 while Cameron Ahlers and Zach Shanks both finished with a 60. Wolfpack JV results saw Colton Beerman and Matt Collins both finish with a 54, Jaylen Jackson shot a 55 and Brody Floyd finished with a 64.

The Wayne High boys golf team will next compete in the Columbus Lakeview Invite this Thursday from Quail Run in Columbus.
