PIERCE – Members with the Wayne High and Pierce wrestling programs closed out district competition Saturday in Pierce.
Pierce won the B-3 District with 180 points, followed by Grand Island Northwest as district runner-up with 162 points and Central City placed third with 135 points.
Wayne High finished sixth with 96 points.
The Blue Devils will send six to state as both Reece Jaqua (126) and Mike Leatherdale (285) finished runner-up, Reid Korth (170) and Cade Janke (195) took third as Dakota Spann (182) and Martin Carrillo (220) placed fourth.
