Wayne Girls Wrestling Represented During All Girls Tournament

WINNEBAGO – Several Nebraska high school girls wrestlers were represented during a Tuesday invite.

From Winnebago, the Blue Devils sent their girls wrestling program to the 2021 Winnebago All Girls Invite.

West Point-Beemer won the team race with 123 points, followed by Norfolk High in runner-up with 87 points, South Sioux City and Wahoo tied for third with 71 points each as Weeping Water rounded out the top five teams with 64.5 points.

Wayne High placed 23rd with 29 points.

Renieth Montiel (100) finished second improving to 10-1 on the season as Jaycee Bruns (126) took ninth now sitting 12-4.

The Wayne High girls and boys wrestling program will next compete on Tuesday, January 4 during the Plainview Triangular with Boone Central. Dual competition will begin at 6 p.m.
