Wayne Girls Golf Places Second In Triangular, Bentjen Finishes Runner-Up

NORFOLK – Following a location change for the Wayne High girls golf team, WHS joined two other teams during a road triangular.

From Fairplay Golf Course in Norfolk, the triangular featured Battle Creek, Elkhorn Valley and Wayne.

Battle Creek shot the low-team score with a 209 followed by the Blue Devils with a 258 and Elkhorn Valley shot a 271.

Wayne High’s Natalie Bentjen placed runner-up with a 49 during the nine-hole outing. Cassidy Manz shot a 64, Bailee Leise (70) and Riley Haschke (75) were also in action for WHS.

The Wayne High girls golf team will next compete in the Stanton Invite on Friday, September 6 at 9 a.m. Teams joining Stanton and Wayne will be Leigh, Norfolk, West Point-Beemer and Laurel-Concord-Coleridge from the Elkhorn Acres Golf Course.
