WAYNE – In an update from the ‘Hot Topics’ email put out by Wayne Area Economic Development, the Wayne Country Club will remain open at this time.
In the release, the Wayne Country Club states, ‘the health and safety of our members, guests and employees are of the utmost importance.’ The club will continue to closely monitor the CDC, state of Nebraska and local guidelines regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and will be following the guidelines from those agencies.
Again, based on the current guidelines the Wayne Country Club is open and will remain open at this time.
WCC has also implemented preventative measures and have removed all practice putting flags, are asking golfers to leave the pin in throughout the entire round of golf, are allowing each golfer to use their own cart and have removed all bunker rakes. The Wayne Country Club is also encouraging those who take to the course to walk or alternate driving the golf cart while their partner walks.
Also, the clubhouse will be open but will not allow indoor seating. Beverages may be purchased inside to be consumed on the golf course.
The Wayne Country Club will continue to update their members on additional precautions they’re taking to keep all golfers, guests and employees as safe as possible while providing a recreational opportunity for all to enjoy during these unsettling times.
