PIERCE – As the Wayne C volleyball team will still join the varsity program over the next two weeks, the Blue Devils took part in their final weekend tournament.
From Pierce High School, the Wayne C-team went 1-2 during the Pierce Tourney.
WHS opened with a loss to Norfolk High (17-25, 10-25), before defeating Randolph (25-20, 25-16) but lost their final match of the day to Columbus Scotus (18-25, 19-25).
Versus Norfolk: Faith Powicki (3-0); Gabbi Judd (3-2); Sydney Baker (2-0); Leah Perry (1-0) and Tasha Petersen (2-0).
Ver us Randolph: Faith Powicki (1-0); Anna Kaup (11-4); Gabbi Judd (5-0); Sydney Baker (3-0); Leah Perry (4-3) and Tasha Petersen (6-0).
Versus Scotus: Faith Powicki (2-0); Anna Kaup (2-1); Gabbi Judd (2-1); Sydney Baker (7-1) and Leah Perry (2-0).
The Wayne High volleyball teams will next be in action on Thursday, October 8 when they host Crofton starting at 5:30 p.m.
