WAYNE – Following a Monday night home victory for the Wayne Blue Ponies, the team was back on the home diamond a couple days later for more Tri County League competition.
From the Summer Sports Complex, Wayne Blue hosted Schuyler and won 12-4 while the Wayne White Ponies had their game canceled as Stanton had to forfeit.
Wayne Blue opened the game with a three-run inning before scoring one in the second and three more in the third inning to lead 7-0. Wayne Blue outscored Schuyler, 4-3 in the fourth as both teams scored a run in the sixth which favored Wayne Blue, 12-4. Wayne Blue is now 4-2 on the season.
Jace Jorgensen recorded a homerun with four RBI; Kaden Keller also added a homerun while Will Leseberg doubled, drove in two runs and scored. Gavin Anderson singled three times, drove in a run and scored twice; Mason Heikes singled twice and scored; Samuel Etter singled and scored; Jamison Meyer accounted for two RBI and two runs scored; Brodrick Tiedtke added a RBI and run scored as Cole Clausen scored twice.
Tiedtke (66 pitches) secured the win in four innings allowing three earned runs off three hits while striking out seven batters and walking one. Jorgensen (41 pitches) came in for the final three innings allowing one run off two hits while striking out another seven batters.

In Tri County League Pony Division competition, Wayne Blue will next visit Stanton and Wayne White will play at Tekamah-Herman both on Sunday, June 13 at 6 p.m.
The Wayne Blue Didgets and Broncos will next host Logan View Blue on Thursday, June 10 at 6/7:45 p.m. The Wayne White Didgets and Broncos will visit Logan View Gold at 6/7:45 p.m. in Scribner also Thursday.
