Wakefield Wrestlers Participate In Road Dual Competition

WAKEFEILD – Following about a three-week period of no wrestling competition, the Wakefield Trojans went back to work Friday for road dual competition while the team prepared for a Saturday invite.

From Wilber-Clatonia Public Schools, the Trojans joined five other teams during the Wilber-Clatonia Duals.

Milford won the Friday duals over Logan View, the host Wilber-Clatonia placed third, Bishop Neumann took fourth, Norfolk Catholic (fifth) and Wakefield rounded out the six teams.

Wakefield suffered losses to Norfolk Catholic (51-18), Milford (69-6), Wilber-Clatonia (54-27), Logan View (74-6) and Bishop Neumann (48-27).

The Wakefield Trojan wrestlers are back in action Saturday during the Wisner-Pilger Invite starting at 10 a.m.

 

Quad County Northeast (LCC/Randolph) defeated Winnebago, 48-27.

 

Winside wresters will host the Winside Invite beginning at 9:30 a.m. today while the Wayne High wrestlers will travel to Malcom for a road invite beginning at 9 am..
