Wakefield Wrestlers Compete In Raymond Central Invite

VALPARAISO – As the Wakefield wrestlers are set to compete in the subdistrict round this week, the Trojans took part in a final weekend invitational.

From Raymond Central Public Schools in Valparaiso, Wakefield competed against 13 other schools during the Raymond Central Invite.

Beatrice won the invite with 249.5 points followed by the host Raymond Central in second with 177.5 points.

Wakefield sent nine wrestlers and placed 12th with 34 points.

Leading the way for Wakefield were Samuel Chase (106) and Jeremiah Chase (138) both placed fourth while Gabe Lamprecht (145) took sixth.

Wakefield will compete in the C2-B Subdistrict hosted by Raymond Central on Friday, February 5. Subdistrict competition will get underway at 4 p.m.
