Wakefield Volleyball Drops Road Match

HOWELLS – With a series of triangulars set to take over the September portion of the Wakefield Trojans schedule, the team traveled for a single match Tuesday.

Wakefield visit Howells-Dodge and suffered a loss in straight sets of (25-17, 25-9, 25-19). The Trojans have now dropped their seventh straight to now sit 3-11 on the season while Howells-Dodge improves to 8-2.

Rachel Borg posted a team-high six kills and two aces for Wakefield. Abby Heimann added two kills and six digs as Daveigh Munter-McAfee finished with a pair of kills. Aishah Valenzuela recorded a team-high 11 digs; Hayden Ekberg tallied four blocks (two solo); Jordan Metzler tacked on five set assists and an ace as Heimann had three assists and an ace.

The Wakefield volleyball team will next host Pender on Thursday, September 17 before competing in their first triangular next Tuesday, September 22 in Randolph with Walthill.
