WISNER – After moving the first day of the Wisner-Pilger Holiday Basketball Tournament up one day, the finals are set.
From Wisner-Pilger Public Schools, Wakefield, Ponca and Neligh-Oakdale joined the host Gators Monday.
In the girls division: Wakefield (6-2) defeated Neligh-Oakdale (1-6), 71-44 while Ponca (9-0) defeated Wisner-Pilger (2-5), 61-31.
From the boys division: Wakefield (7-1) defeated Neligh-Oakdale (5-2), 66-41 while Ponca (6-2) won in overtime over Wisner-Pilger (3-4), 58-55.
Day two games are still being planned for Wednesday, December 30.
Girls consolation game will open the day at noon: Neligh-Oakdale vs. Wisner-Pilger
Boys consolation game at 1:45 p.m.: Neligh-Oakdale vs. Wisner-Pilger
Girls championship game at 3:30 p.m.: Wakefield vs. Ponca
Boys championship game at 5:15 p.m.: Wakefield vs. Ponca
